Integration Platform

Our content management system allows you to give your passengers travel information from the moment they leave their homes until they board the vehicle. You can even update each passenger on board during the travell and after the arrival to their final destination. With our fully flexible system, you can give your passengers a first-class service.

Simpleway’s unified solution works as an integration platform that provides easy content management for operators and administrators, allowing you to reach your passengers with real-time information via audio messages, LCD displays, LED panels, information booths, mobile phones, websites, social media networks, and other communication channels. What’s more, in most cases our solution does not require investment on hardware.

Integration Layers

The aim of our solution is to connect all of the required individual data inputs and communication channels together so that they work in unison to bring the full information to the passenger and staff. The main benefit for the network (station) operator is that Simpleway products share a single back-end system that works well for all of the operational processes and passenger information hardware. There is no need for a dedicated interface between display system or automated announcement data exchange, nor any need to contact several companies when a change has to be applied in one of the systems. We offer an all-in-one solution that runs on one platform, yet each system can still be run separately. The system control is done via the dedicated web-based operation's user interfaces. All of the system features work with existing and off-the-shelf hardware, across multiple standard or non-standard installations.

Simpleway's solution can be integrated with many different systems, the most common system integrations include:

  • Any public address system – either digital audio broadcasting or an analog interface with contact closures, enabling the system to play automated or manual announcements through the PA system.
  • Display system – to provide passenger information during the travel process or show commercial content.
  • Scheduling, signalling or location-based data for automated system events triggering.
  • Monitoring systems and SCADA systems for reporting purposes.
  • External data sources – vehicle passenger counting, advertising systems, CCTV, weather forecast, toilets operational status, station parking availability, tourist point of interest, and many more.
  • External communication channels - websites, social networks, data exports.

Simpleway experts has more than 15 years of experience with delivering integrated solutions which are often very specific. Therefore, we are able to create custom integrations to almost any interface that is used throught your public transport network. Our consultants are also here to discuss any of your passenger information ideas and requirements.

Business Rules Engine

For any situation – be it a delay, cancellation, diversions, or any kind of emergency – a business rule can be easily created that will deliver information to passengers in any way, anytime, and anywhere you need throughout your network. Our system provides full automation as well as “semi-automation” where the operator just confirms or adjust the information automatically suggested. By that we can offload (automate) maximum unnecessary work from the operational personnel so they can do other important tasks.

The system can control a wide variety of devices and generate messages specifically for them. As data is essential to passenger communication, the business rules engine is fed by a flexible data integration framework that can import, export and schedule real-time data from any input in any format you can imagine – whether an industry standard or a customized format.

Our solution is designed with multi-modality and multi-system in mind to achieve a seamless passenger experience in a fully converged transit system including all of the modes of transportation.
